New York has some of the most amazing yoga and movement teachers around. I'm beyond grateful to have direct access to them. Many of them have offered me endless inspiration and motivation towards my own teaching while enhancing my personal body awareness and practices. The plethora of excellent options here is unbelievable. I know a yoga teacher who travels here from the UK twice a year specifically for this reason.
I encourage you to check out new teachers and new ways of moving. And to stay in class when there's a sub - you never know what perfect message will sneak its way into your heart.
Even though I love what New York has to offer, travel is another important aspect of my yoga practice. I love it and have managed to find a way to make it a big part of what I offer others. I love creating an experience for people where they can feel health and joy in a real and transformative way. I believe it's crucial to get out of our comfort zone and out of the daily grind, and into an atmosphere that challenges our senses while relaxing our nerves. I'm super psyched for a couple of upcoming retreats. One is in Iceland at the end of June, which will be a total human experiment with 22 hours of sunshine, hot spring dips, glacier hikes, farmhouse hopping and yoga! Life is good. And now, more than ever, yoga is finding its way into every dimension.
