ISHTA is unique because we involve kriya yoga and its practice, which means we use technique to explore and bring awareness to the subtle channels of energy that map our being. This can be experienced both in the asana and meditative practice. ISHTA yoga also infuses the science and philosophy of Tantra, which comes from a non-dualistic perspective that we all come from a unified field of consciousness. Yoga is the practice of tapping back into that unified field and Tantra is the practice of bringing that inspiration into each moment of our living.
My influences are my teachers who handed down this ancient lineage: Mani Finger (my father), Swami Vanketasananda, Swami Nishriasananda and Shudanand Bharati.
I hope that my students come out of class with a balanced body, a clear mind, and the experience of who they really are without the coloring of their mind and its limitations.
