I’ve had the great fortune to study with many different, amazing teachers – Bikram Choudry, Pattabhi Jois, Ana Forrest, Baron Baptiste, John Friend – so I see what each student needs through many different eyes. No matter whom it was that I studied with, they gave me the tools to experience healing and growth through the ancient practice. It is my intention to guide my students to a higher level of self-awareness and open to their internal wisdom. I strive to create a space that the yogi can quiet their mind to listen to their heart so they are able to nourish themselves through their practice. Whether it’s through sweating it up in my hot power class, savoring the moments of a slow flow or sitting in stillness in Yin, I simply wish to help each student open up to the opportunity of tremendous growth in mind, body and spirit.
I am most influenced by my family. Absolute unconditional love. I have four brothers and two sisters who are the salt of the earth. My parents never read the Sutras but sure taught me my Yamas and Niyamas. My mom has set an outstanding example of creating whatever you want in life, that anything is possible – she is my hero.
When my students walk out of class, I want them to feel uplifted and aligned physically and spiritually. I want them to walk out unafraid to live from their authentic self.
