A physical and spiritual journey.
YogaWorks Soho, 459 Broadway, Manhattan
Experience how Jodie Rufty weaves together both a physical and a spiritual journey during her class. She starts us off slowly, sitting, taking our time and really allowing us to drop into the practice. What’s amazing about this class is that there are elements that are familiar but far from routine. You flow, but in a creative and surprising way. I can see why people are addicted to this teacher and why there are people taking notes at the back of class (teacher trainees presumably – Jodie leads many of the teacher training programs at YogaWorks). What’s unique is that you are also on a spiritual journey; Jodie powerfully awakens you to your core and you are immediately in the room, on your mat and challenging yourself. Her teaching is subtle and magical. Go to this class if you have a foundation of an asana practice and want to be surprised and challenged.
