Yoga poses for hip pain & stiffness

Gwen, who works with pro athletes in New York, starts with an “assessment pose” to give you an idea of which hip is tighter. From there, it’s a series of poses to help open up and align the hips to reduce pressure on the knees, relieve pain and release tight muscles.

Don’t be afraid to hold poses for a long time. Gwen recommends holding for at least one minute. “These are big muscles," she says. "They need time to open up.”
